How lucky am I?

I just have to say that I'm the luckiest mom in the world. I just downloaded some pictures from my camera (something I do about every 3 months or so). It's always great to relive those fun moments in our household where we take goofy pictures or photos of our kids doing miraculous things.

These pictures aren't of anything in particular: Boogie and Dak enjoying spinning in the chair in the office, Boogie hanging out in her free-flowing hair (hair that's usually back in braids like Dorothy, or a double ponytail like Jasmine, or with two tiny braids brought back into one ponytail (similar to Jenny's during her hippie days on Forrest Gump)), and Dak kicking back in his daddy's cap on a Sunday afternoon.

Just looking at their angelic faces makes me truly thankful for everything I have. It's these kinds of moments that make me realize what life is all about ... that I need to slow down and not be so impatient ... that I need to look at the world through my children's eyes, and not stress about all the things I can't control ... that I need to appreciate every moment I have with them.

I'm one lucky lady.

Time passes so quickly

Don't you love those days at work where you so wrapped up in a project that you suddenly look up and it's lunchtime? Or better yet, that it's quarter to five and almost time to go home?

Every day that I've been at my new job ... all four days of them ... have been that way. Already I've revised an ad for a conference directory, redesigned the home page for a new web site that will be launching soon, rewrote copy for an educational training course, and started working on some direct mail postcards.

How's that for being completely immersed in my new position? I definitely made the right move.
